JPMorgan has launched JPM Coin on Ethereum as part of a move to offer tokenized dollar deposits to institutional investors

On October 19, Tom Lee’s BitMine announced 12,535 ETH in weekly purchases, worth approximately $30.3 million. The company is getting closer to its 5% target share of the Ethereum supply.

Now focus shifts to the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision, which could create market volatility.

JPM Coin Goes Live on Ethereum, Enabling 24/7 Institutional Transfers

JPM Coin has been expanded to Ethereum mainnet by JPMorgan Chase, offering more block-chain payment options for its institutional clients. The deposit token is a dollar pegged token and can be transferred and settled nearly instantly, 24 hours a day.

JPM Coin is managed by Kinexys and it went live on Base in 2025 and later on Ethereum’s mainnet. The product is still only offered to approved institutions, unlike the stablecoins that can be traded on public markets.

Beyond decentralized finance, the launch may boost Ethereum’s standing in the institutional payments and tokenized asset settlement space. It is a reflection of the attempt of linking the traditional banking system with blockchain markets by means of regulated digital currency.

Can Ethereum Price Reclaim $2,500 as Bearish Momentum Eases?

The momentum indicators indicate a potential early stabilization while the four-hour chart suggests sellers are still in control. Repeated rebounds have struggled to recover earlier trading levels, leaving ETH below the marked $2,500 resistance.

The relative strength index (RSI) was at 46, which is slightly higher than its average of 44.28.

The MACD line was at −13.04, which was above the signal line that was at −15.29, and the histogram was at +2.25. The combination indicates that bearish pressure is decreasing, but neither line has crossed the zero line.

An Ethereum long-term prediction of a 4-hour close above $2,400 may further solidify the recovery and move $2,500 into view. If the resistance is cleared, then this could pave the way toward the previous trading area around $2600.

On the downside, $2,330 is the marked support level after multiple tests in October. Failing to hold that floor may allow the psychological $2,300 level to come into play.
