Saquon Barkley Shows Off His New 97-Piece Luxury Watch, But Fans Say It’s ‘Not the Time’

Jalen Hurts is expected to be out for the remainder of the 2026 NFL season due to deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli. Imaging has shown that he has multiple blood clots in his lungs. The injury reportedly occurred when he was cleated against the Rams.

To combat this, he is expected to undergo blood-thinning treatment that will sideline him for three months, at the very least.

Amid this negative news hitting the NFL and Philadelphia Eagles fans’ timelines, Hurts’ running back, Saquon Barkley, released a new promotional collaboration Instagram post with H. Moser & Cie., a luxury watch company.

This wasn’t well received by fans, who believed the post came at an incredibly inopportune time.

One fan wrote, “QB1 just got announced being out for the season and you posting model pics,” while adding a laughing emoji at the end.

Another said, “Not the time bro.”

One comment defended Barkley. They said, “Y’all can’t be this dense in the comments lol. Did anyone consider that perhaps this was shot before Jalen’s incident, not during, and even if it wasn’t, why should he stop getting a bag because of it?”

The official ‘moserwatches’ IG account liked this comment, suggesting this might actually have happened.

Most, if not all, collaborations that take place on social media have been decided weeks/months in advance. They could not have predicted that Hurts would be sidelined to such an extent at the exact moment they had perhaps mutually agreed to release the post.

Barkley is yet to comment on the situation.

What Are the Finer Details of the Watch Saquon Barkley Is Promoting

H. Moser has given Barkley quite a bit of input on the watch’s design, as they’ve revealed it was “crafted together” with him.

Only 97 pieces of this specific watch have been crafted, making it incredibly rare and valuable. Why 97? His birth year is 1997.

Some of the finer details on the dial show off Barkley’s influence over the timepiece. One such detail is the numerals 2 and 6 glowing luminescently in the dark. This is an homage to his jersey number 26, forever cementing it as one of the most iconic jerseys of the modern era.

On the technical side, the watch features a fully skeletonized HMC 811 caliber and a one-minute flying cylindrical tourbillon.

The company has called this watch a “touchdown,” and it is quite difficult to argue with that, given how impeccable the piece’s design is.
