The golden age of air travel may be long gone, but Timex is bringing a little of its magic back to your wrist. The new Pan Am x Timex Waterbury Automatic GMT combines the iconic airline’s blue-and-white branding with vintage-inspired styling and a mechanical GMT movement—all for $669. It’s a nostalgic throwback to the days of glamorous international travel, but with a practical complication built for today’s frequent fliers.

The 41.5mm stainless-steel watch features a black-and-Pan Am-blue 24-hour bezel, a silver-white dial, and an additional GMT hand for tracking another time zone. Under the hood is a Seiko NH34 automatic movement with approximately 41 hours of power reserve. Add in a stainless-steel bracelet with tool-free adjustable links, and Timex has created a travel watch that delivers plenty of retro charm without a luxury-watch price tag.
The dial is guarded by a double-domed K1 mineral glass crystal with anti-reflective coating and for a peek at the movement, there’s more glass at the back stamped with the Pan Am logo. Timex chose a Seiko NH34 movement to power the Waterbury’s timekeeping. The 24-jewel GMT calibre offers a hacking seconds function so it can easily be set to a reference time, an approximate 41 hour power reserve, and accuracy in the range of -35/+45 seconds per day.
