What’s On Netflix reports that breakout comedy Fisk will be returning for a fourth season on Netflix in the United States. The Australian show became an international hit after receiving streaming rights on Netflix, where it found a huge audience.
Fisk has officially been renewed by ABC in Australia, with the network confirming that the show will return in 2027 with its fourth season. However, it could be a while before the Australian comedy makes its way to the United States,
There has been no official announcement regarding a Netflix release date, but we do know that it will be several months from the show’s Australian network premiere before American audiences get to watch it. More likely, it will be just over a year before Netflix receives the rights for the show.
Fisk is written and created by Kitty Flanagan, who also stars in the lead role as Helen Tudor-Fisk. The show follows her exploits as an experienced corporate lawyer who moves to a suburban law firm after her life in Sydney implodes, turning her career and personal life upside-down in the process.
The sitcom also stars Julia Zemiro, Aaron Chen, and Marty Sheargold in supporting roles, with guest appearances from comedians such as Sam Campbell and Rob Sitch. Throughout its most recent seasons, Fisk has attracted plenty of guest talent following its rave reviews and strong word-of-mouth.
Although Netflix has not formally confirmed its acquisition of Fisk‘s fourth season, the consistency and eagerness that the streamer has previously shown about housing this breakout comedy makes it almost certain that they’ll want to continue their agreement with ABC in Australia.
Series creator Kitty Flanagan confirmed the show’s renewal on social media with a brief statement: “So excited to finally – and officially – announce that Fisk is coming back for season 4 in 2027. Spoiler alert, Helen will be in the same brown suit and will definitely not be falling in love or getting married!!”
All three previous seasons of Fisk are currently available to stream on Netflix in the United States with a valid subscription.
