Ford Ranger Hit With Curtain Airbag-Blocking Interior Trim Recall

Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority has published a safety recall affecting 926 examples of the Ford Ranger. The potentially affected worldwide population is listed as 33,449 units, and the culprit is an unassuming piece of interior plastic. Under KBA reference number 17070R, the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt says that side paneling can stop the curtain airbag from deploying as intended.
