In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thanos needed six Infinity Stones to wipe out half of all life. Now a working replica of his iconic gauntlet, set with six real gems, is going to auction with a reported price of $25 million. The auction of the unique collectible, which will take place in Abu Dhabi on December 8, will be a chance for wealthy Marvel fans to own one of the franchise’s most iconic objects.
The giant gauntlet is a joint effort between East Continental Gems and Marvel, and it imitates the weapon that was prominently featured in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. This is not a movie replica as such, however, but one made using real precious stones instead of colored props. A ruby, garnet, sapphire, amethyst, emerald, and yellow diamond are the six gems, which represent the fictional Reality, Soul, Space, Power, Time, and Mind Stones, respectively.
According to Reuters, Julien’s Auctions will offer the piece at Rosewood Abu Dhabi. The gauntlet was first unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con in 2022, when it was offered for $25 million. The upcoming sale will be its first auction, although prospective bidders must receive approval before participating.

The Real Infinity Stones Have an Interesting Backstory
The project started back in 2019, when Adam Mirzoeff, CEO of East Continental Gems, saw a toy Infinity Gauntlet on the desk of a Marvel executive. He joked about making one with real gemstones, and eventually turned the idea into a one-of-a-kind collector’s item.
The jewelers were able to recreate the look of the cinematic gauntlet thanks to design files supplied by Marvel. The work is nearly 20 inches high when finished, and the six gems together weigh more than 170 carats. The stones are untreated and individually certified by the American Gemological Laboratories, with the diamond also certified by the Gemological Institute of America, according to Julien’s Auctions.
One odd detail in particular is the emerald for the Time Stone. The gem was discovered more than 100 years ago and sat in the East Continental Gems collection for more than 30 years before the company chose it for the project.
The gauntlet auction is also happening right before Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released in theaters December 18, 2026. Robert Downey Jr. returns to the Marvel franchise in the new film, but for once he’s not Iron Man; he’s Doctor Doom.
For most fans, the Infinity Gauntlet will be a dream to own. But this elaborate replica mixes Marvel memorabilia with fine jewelry, making it a strange collector’s item even for buyers who already own expensive pieces of movie history.
