Despite thousands of arrests being made over the past few weeks, the NFL remains unconcerned about playing Sunday’s game between the New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers in Paris.
“Preparations continue as scheduled for NFL events and the game at Stade de France next Sunday,” the NFL said. “We continue to work closely with local authorities and partners on all operational and security matters. We are also providing the two clubs with regular updates. There’s been no disruption or impact at league sites.”
With the NFL moving ahead with the contest despite thousands taking the streets in protest with broad grievances over under-resourced schools, all eyes will be on Stade de France as the Steelers and Saints take center stage.
The Steelers are led by future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who appears to have turned back the clock in recent weeks.
Aaron Rodgers’ Wife Brittani Remains out of Public Eye
In a podcast appearance with teammate Cameron Heyward, Rodgers revealed he and his wife Brittani were an item before she eventually went overseas.
That led Rodgers to a time when he described himself as “emotionally unavailable” for the next seven or eight years – a period when he was in a longterm relationship with Danica Patrick and engaged to actress Shailene Woodley.
“I was emotionally unavailable, I think, for those seven or eight years because I met the person that had changed my life,” he said. “And after that, I just poured everything I had into football, and I think I got a lot out of that for sure, but I knew I was supposed to be with this one person, but we were separated by an ocean for a lot it.”
The couple eventually came back together and married, but Brittani still hasn’t been seen with the quarterback in public. According to a new report from Page Six, even Rodgers’ younger brother Jordan doesn’t know much about his sister-in-law.
“They don’t like to talk about Jordan’s family,” a source told Page Six, adding they “don’t seem to know much” about Brittani either. “It still seems like a very sensitive topic for Jordan.”
Rodgers is one of the most well-known players in the league, but he’s had success in keeping his relationship private.
