Tribute Games and Dotemu have been teasing us with Marvel Cosmic Invasion‘s upcoming ‘Siege of Castle Doom’ DLC for a while now. We learnt that Sue Storm and Doctor Doom will be joining the fray as playable characters in the last news drop, and today, we’ve finally got some details on the expansion’s new game mode.
Much like Dimension Shellshock was to Shredder’s Revenge, Cosmic Invasion’s DLC packs in a roguelite game mode called Castle Doom, where you’ll have to successfully make your way through the titular palace and beat ol’ Victor before he can detonate his Cosmic Inductor macguffin.
There are all of the usual genre kicks to keep you coming back for more runs — permanent upgrades, cosmic rewards, you get the picture — and composer Tee Lopes has even written some new tracks for the occasion.
The Siege of Castle Doom DLC arrives on 10th November for both Switch 1 and 2.
