How Amber ‘AD’ Desiree Smith Is Parenting Her 10-Month-Old Baby Girl

What’s something you wasted time feeling guilty about that you don’t anymore?

The schedule. I used to think I needed to have her on some strict sleep… When you first have your kid, it’s like, “Sleep train, sleep train, sleep train.” I don’t feel bad about that anymore. At first I thought I needed to, but I don’t. She’s fine.

What was the last thing you hid from your children?

My phone. I put that in my back pocket every second. I’m like, “Give me mommy’s phone.” She just shattered it a little bit today. So now I really have to hide it.

Finish this sentence: “A good mom…”

A good mom does her best. A good mom is doing her best.

What’s your latest “because I said so” moment?

Oh, I don’t have that. She is the “because I said so.” She is the ruler. She’s the queen. If she wants something it’s because she said so.
