‘Heated Rivalry’ Actor in Talks To Star Alongside Ryan Gosling in Marvel’s ‘Ghost Rider’

The breakout success of Heated Rivalry could be opening the door for another major opportunity for one of its stars.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Connor Storrie is in talks to star alongside Ryan Gosling in Marvel’s Ghost Rider. No official word has come from Marvel yet, though Storrie is reportedly circling the role of the film’s villain.

Storrie came into prominence through his work as Ilya Rozanov on the hit Crave/HBO Max series Heated Rivalry, which debuted in 2025. The show, based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers book series, is now en route to its second season.

Should Storrie indeed land a role in Ghost Rider, it will mark his first taste of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage brought the Ghost Rider character to the big screen in a pair of movies before: 2007’s Ghost Rider and 2011’s Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. The Marvel character was originally created by writer Gary Friedrich and artist Mike Ploog, first appearing in 1972’s Marvel Spotlight No. 5. The following year, Ghost Rider received his own self-titled series.

In Marvel Comics, Ghost Rider is the alter ego of Johnny Blaze, a stunt motorcyclist that makes a deal with a demon in order to spare his adoptive father. Blaze becomes bound to the Spirit of Vengeance, Zatharos, as a result.

Ryan Gosling will star as Ghost Rider in the 2028 film, directed by Shawn Levy and written by Jonathan Tropper. All three recently teamed up for Star Wars: Starfighter as well.

Gosling’s partner Eva Mendes starred in the 2007 Ghost Rider as Roxanne Simpson. It is unknown if she will reprise her role in the upcoming installment, which is slated to begin production in 2027.
