WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, 77, is recovering after suffering a scary fall last Friday. He’s not completely out of the woods yet, however.
As revealed on social media, Flair will soon undergo another surgery as a result of his injuries. “One More Surgery And One More Possible Skin Graft, And Then I Will Be Good To Go!” Flair wrote before thanking the USF Health Eye Institute.

On Oct. 23, paramedics rushed Flair to the hospital after he fell on a Tampa street. The 16-time world champion was reportedly hanging out at a bar when he got up to walk across the street, leaving both his phone and drink behind. His abrupt collapse resulted in physical injuries, including a cut to his head and eye. His eye was said to be “bleeding extensively.”
The eye injury became evident in his follow-up message, which showed a photo of him wearing bandages over it.
“Thank You All For The Messages And Prayers!” Flair wrote in the hours following his fall. “I Will Get Back To You Each Individually As I Get Stronger. Thank You To All The Tampa General Hospital Staff And Doctors That Put Up With Me Until 4:30am. I Appreciate You All And Thank You For Everything You Did For Me! I Am Focused On My Healing And Recovery Right Now. I Will Be Okay!”
Hours before his collapse, the wrestling legend confirmed the cancellation of his scheduled appearance at the Washington State Horror Con. Due to a blood clot in his leg that requires a separate operation, Flair’s doctors had limited his traveling distance to three to four hours. The city of Seattle, the site of the convention, fell outside of that range.
“Blood clots are extremely serious and can be life-threatening,” Flair additionally noted.
