Winter Storm Forecast for Famous Towns in 2 States: Up to 10 Inches of Snow Expected

Over the last several weeks, snowstorms have been forecast for various states in America. However, they have mostly arrived at high altitudes in mountain areas. Now, a new forecast has called for famous towns to face significant snowfall in the next several days, with up to 10 inches of snow expected.

Where and How Much Snow Is Expected

On October 27, 2026, Fox Weather’s X account posted a short video predicting a winter weather system to strike the Western United States between Saturday, October 31, and Tuesday, November 3. It also featured a caption which stated that some cities could face their first snowstorm of the season as those conditions arrive.

“❄️ NOVEMBER SNOWSTORM: Watch the West next week: a potent Pacific storm system is gearing up to slam the West with heavy rain and snow. While it’s still too early to say how much and where, some cities are facing their first shot at snow for the season!”

When asked for comment on what the major winter weather system could bring, Fox Weather’s Greg Diamond explained that the forecast has dropped since that initial post. However, he told Men’s Journal that several famous towns in Utah and Colorado could still see several inches of snow arrive between Saturday and Tuesday.

According to the current forecast, Telluride, Colorado, is the town facing the harshest winter weather, with five to 10 inches of snow expected. Additionally, Colorado’s Aspen, Vail, and Breckenridge are forecast to be hit by between one and six inches. Finally, Park City, Utah, should prepare for between one and five inches of snow. Diamond also told Men’s Journal that some higher elevations in the surrounding area that reach above 10,000 feet could see over a foot of snowfall.

Towns like Park City, Aspen, Vail, and Telluride are world-famous resort destinations that cater to skiing enthusiasts and other travelers. As a result, the early snowpack in the area will be big news for many. However, the snowy conditions could negatively affect travel conditions for local residents between Saturday and Tuesday.
