Atrial Fibrillation, Arrhythmia, and More

Gene Simmons, the bass player for KISS, shared that he lives with atrial fibrillation in a 2016 segment of the talk show The Doctors. He had been diagnosed a decade prior after experiencing dizziness and shortness of breath on stage.

“I called a doctor, and he showed up and said, ‘Okay, here’s what’s going on. There’s something called afib,’ and he went down the list. And it was a lot to take in,” Simmons said. He credits resting and staying hydrated with preventing future episodes.

“There are many triggers for atrial fibrillation,” Campbell says. “Some more common ones include alcohol, caffeine, and stress.”
