Prime Video is one of the biggest streaming platforms, and right now, one film in particular is dominating the charts following its release on Oct. 30.
That movie is the action-packed Apocalypse Z: New World, a post-apocalyptic zombie thriller directed by Carlos Torrens and written by Ángel Agudo.
It’s a Spanish film that serves as a sequel to the 2024 streaming hit Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End.
The Prime Video plot description reads, “Following the outbreak of the TSJ virus, the Canary Islands have become Europe’s last refuge. When a mission travels to Madrid in search of supplies, Roberto joins the team with questionable intentions. Surrounded by the infected and divided loyalties, they must fight to survive while facing a moral dilemma: save themselves or risk everything for what remains of humanity.”
It’s already the No. 1 movie on Prime Video worldwide. In the United States, it’s also climbing the charts, currently sitting at No. 4, according to FlixPatrol.

What’s the Cast?
Unlike the first film, which centered around a single character and his cat, this installment features a group of survivors.
The cast includes Carlos Alcaide as Roberto, Julia Martinez as Marina, Jose Maria Yazpik returning as Pritchenko, and Berta Vasquez returning as Lucia.
How Can You Watch the Movie in English?
If you’re interested in watching the film on Prime Video but don’t want to follow subtitles in another language, the streaming platform offers other options.
You can watch the original Spanish audio with English subtitles, which many viewers prefer for the most authentic acting performances. However, if you’re not a fan of subtitles, you can also select a fully dubbed English audio track. The dubbing may feel a little unnatural at times, but you’ll be able to follow the movie without reading subtitles.
