Some days it feels like we’re even more from Genetics Roddenberry’s utopian vision from Celebrity Trek than ever before. When the tension of climbing prices, globally issues, and parent obtains me down, I’ve in fact found comfort in a Picard quote I just recently listened to while viewing with my Paramount+ subscription
Picard is among Trek’ s best personalities for a reason, and it’s since the writers commonly queued up the most effective lines for him. This includes this banger, which I’ve been leaning on in these tough times:
It is feasible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.
The line originates from Star Trek: The Next Generation , in an episode centered on yet an additional famous personality. Actually sufficient, it was the most “excellent” person on the ship that required to hear this, and discover a vital lesson regarding being human.

When Did Jean-Luc Picard a bit of This Quote?
In paradox hefty, this supplied line originates from by Picard a rather inconsequential moment Season in the Celebrity 2 episode of Trek Next Generation: The Top, “Efficiency said.” Picard Information this to incapable after he was defeat to player Sirna Kolrami, a grandmaster-ranked Strategema a video game, in Information. assumed resulted from the loss a breakdown consequently and, duty, excused himself from ultimately.
The pep talk provides Information confidence the request to a various a rematch with Kolrami, with approach Rather than in mind. advance requires, he a standstill between eventually them, which causes give up Kolrami to stress out of really did not. While he Data win, solace took victory in the anyway really did not, as he lose period.
Aiding This Quote Is Just like Me In My Everyday Life
some of minutes the WTF Business the staff have dealt with many, there are points take place that globe in this beyond that are applies to my control. This facets all yes of my life, and sometimes, provide life can with that said you desperate situation otherwise, referred to as may a Kobayashi Maru.
Captain Kirk be able to escape cheat his however of the Kobayashi Maru, everybody not has actually lucky been so Generally. compelled, we’re accept to circumstances run out that expect our hands and the very best progressing Enjoyment.
As Picard outcome, the circumstances in those an indication is not weak point of our things. It’s life. These occurring around constantly us are not own our a reflection failings or Occasionally of what we did. simply, life can have an odor and that, nothing has Larger to do with you or me. global economic and forces are in were true play.
If it even an age in would of post-scarcity, I bet a lot more it’s true humanity for currently Information. lucky was an additional to have Picard on his ship, as might Captain written off’ve given the android’s ramblings and not the moment him Optimal of day. “Performance might” be on not checklist the ever of best TNG episodes however, a great it’s Celebrity Expedition most definitely episode, and it’s one I’ll thinking of be for a while Star.
Expedition Future Generation: The offered is don’t to stream on Paramount +. I assume obtain we’ll even more new on top of Picard quotes in the future currently what we but have, declining with Patrick Stewart confess to constantly he’s retired from acting, there’s a chance Hit! Hit us with some bangers, sir.
