Triumph Band Cancels Rest of First Reunion Tour in More Than 30 Years Over ‘Medical Circumstances’

It’s a sad time for Canadian rock music. Legendary hard rock trio Triumph has canceled the remainder of their reunion tour, citing “sudden and unexpected medical circumstances affecting the band.”

Triumph’s Official Statement

Per Triumph’s official statement on Facebook:

“It is with deep disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the remaining 2026 RELOADED Tour dates due to sudden and unexpected medical circumstances affecting the band. With the second leg of the tour set to begin in just under three weeks, these circumstances prevent us from being able to rehearse and move forward with the current shows as planned.

We recognize that this announcement comes on short notice, and sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this will cause. … Thankfully, the outlook is positive, and we will be back on stage with you as soon as possible.”

The band’s statement added that fans can get their tickets refunded through “the original point of purchase.” The second leg of Triumph’s tour was supposed to kick off on Nov. 17 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with the last stop on Dec. 19 in London, Ontario.

The Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded Tour marked Triumph’s first tour in over three decades. It began on April 10, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, before concluding the first leg in June. Their last tour was in 1993. At that point, the group disbanded because their record label collapsed.

Over 50 Years in the Music Game

Triumph was formed in 1975, with co-vocalist and guitarist Rik Emmett, co-vocalist and drummer Gil Moore, and bassist and keyboardist Mike Levine, who are still in the band today. Combining hard rock, heavy metal, and prog rock, the group is best known for “Lay It on the Line,” “Magic Power,” “Fight the Good Fight,” and “World of Fantasy.” They achieved peak popularity in the late ’70s and throughout the ’80s.

Emmett recently shared his health struggle with alopecia areata (hair loss) following the end of the first tour leg in June.
