On Halloween morning, I was tidying up for a pre trick-or-treat party, hanging felt mummies and slicing a cranberry goat-cheese log. When it was time to light a moody candle in the powder room, I caught a glimpse of my reflection. I was wearing a witch hat, but the headline was my radiant skin.
