Barbour is best known for its waxed canvas jackets, but the brand also has an extensive line of quilted jackets, and I think the Lindfield is a particularly stylish option. The polyester shell wears a classic diamond-quilt stitch pattern that looks great and also keeps the jacket’s synthetic insulation evenly distributed, meaningeven warmth without cold spots. Mainly, it’s lightweight (waxed cotton definitely is not), it has a refined, low-key look that pairs well with almost anything in your closet, and it’s easy to care for—you can throw it in the washing machine and tumble dry it. I think that makes it a better option for daily wear, as it’s easy to throw on over whatever you’re wearing (including business casual attire) and stains and dirt won’t cause issues.
