It’s Official! After months of rumors and speculation, the Super Bowl 61 Halftime Performer will be the one and only Jay-Z.
In a joint Instagram post with Apple Music, ESPN, the NFL, and Roc Nation, it was announced on Monday evening that Jay-Z was officially the next Halftime performer.
The “99 Problems” rapper released a statement saying, “Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”
It was really only a matter of time before the Empire State of Mind rapper took center stage at the Super Bowl. His entertainment company, Roc Nation, has been in charge of picking the halftime performer since 2019.
Rumors had been circulating about prospective Halftime performers including Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, and Miley Cyrus.
It is unknown at this time if Jay-Z’s wife, international superstar and former Halftime performer herself, Beyoncé, will join him on that stage.
Super Bowl 61 will be played on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2027. Catch the Jay-Z Halftime Show then.
