Pop powerhouse Tate McRae is going from the concert stage to the beauty counter. The multi-platinum singer has announced her entry into the celebrity fragrance category with the launch of her namesake brand and debut scent, Tate 01, created in partnership with Scent Beauty.

The launch marks another milestone in a blockbuster year for McRae, who recently wrapped her massive, 80-plus-date Miss Possessive Tour in support of her chart-topping third studio album, So Close To What. The announcement also follows her high-profile starring role as the face of Calvin Klein’s Fall “Feel the Fit” denim campaign, cementing her status as a global style influencer.

Formulated alongside master perfumers Adriana Medina and Antoine Maisondieu of Givaudan, Tate 01 is designed to be a twist on the “second-skin” fragrance trend. The scent is said to interact directly with individual skin chemistry to form a “personalized, velvet-woody finish,” according to a Scent Beauty statement. “Bright opening notes of bergamot and clary sage give way to a heart of luminous white florals,” which are then grounded by “warm amber, tonka bean, and soft sandalwood,” according to the brand.

“In my beauty routine, fragrance is that final invisible layer that elevates my entire mood,” said McRae in a launch statement. “With Tate 01, I set out to craft a scent that feels entirely second-skin: effortless, subtly edgy, and perfectly you. It melts in so gracefully that it never wears you; it just enhances who you already are.”

Encased in a sculptural glass bottle and visually captured by legendary photographer Mario Sorrenti in a black-and-white, ’90s supermodel-inspired global campaign, Tate 01 aims to redefine celebrity fragrances for a younger generation. Tate 01 is available online here, with prices ranging from $30 to $82.
