At first, this jacket looks like a standard puffer. You might not even be surprised that it packs down into a pouch. What makes it different is that the pouch itself and the jacket are designed to come together in a U-shaped pillow that can make everything from a flight to a bus ride to a train trip that much more comfortable. It’s a patented design Weatherproof calls Pillow Pac, and there are screen-printed instructions (with diagrams!) inside, though it’s a pretty simple fold, roll, pack, and zip sequence to make this jacket into a pillow.
As a jacket, it has a full-zip closure, elasticized cuffs, a pair of side zip pockets, and a pair of interior pockets. The polyester shell makes this jacket water- and wind-resistant, while the polyester lining helps hold in the lightweight insulation that makes this jacket way warmer than you’d expect it to be.
“It is well made and is so packable,” one shopper wrote, adding that they “can’t believe the whole jacket actually fits in the neck package.” It’s “great for traveling,” and they are “very happy with it.”
