As the release date for Grand Theft Auto VI draws closer, the game is getting a lot of attention in multiple places. New gameplay clips of GTA 6 from Rockstar Games draw a lot of attention from everyone waiting to get their hands on it. But a new episode of South Park featured some new never-before-seen gameplay, and it wasn’t what anyone would have expected.
Clips from season 29 episode 4 of South Park have been shared on social media, after the episode surprised viewers with new gameplay from GTA 6. The gameplay was provided by Rockstar Games to appear on the show, which had not been seen anywhere else prior. In the episode, the kids visit a cattle ranch and are shown a brief clip of gameplay that includes Jason on a beach.
The preview of GTA 6 that the kids see is meant to show off the “dog poop mechanic” in the game. The woman presenting the gameplay walks the kids through what can happen as Jason is able to pick up dog poop from a nearby character’s dog, and throw it as a weapon against them. Step by step, the woman goes through how detailed the game is and what can be done when a dog poops in-game.

“You see the worldbuilding? It’s a dog taking a poop. And people can pick up the dog poop. You can throw things at the person with dog poop, and if they choose to fight back, you can pick up the dog poop and actually attack them with the dog poop. That is what’s coming in November.”
The reaction from all four kids is exactly what anyone would expect from South Park, excitement and amazement. Throughout the episode, multiple characters mention that things should get better in November, once GTA 6 finally comes out. It’s a satirical take on the hype people have for big releases, but also a fun way of showcasing the level of detail in Grand Theft Auto VI.
For many, this is another way the game is getting a lot of exposure before release. Promotions for GTA 6 have been placed throughout Miami, along with a big Vice City-themed event hosted by the Miami Heat. Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
