Jordan Brand is still tapping into the brown sneaker trend that Travis Scott’s Mocha colorways and overall aesthetic helped popularize years ago.
It’s still up for debate whether the appeal is as strong as it once was for shoes in that brown color family. If I had to compare the Air Jordan 3 Fireside to another upcoming release, it’s interestingly similar to the Air Jordan 3 Not Nice, which has that same kind of burnt brown look.
The Fireside is a women’s exclusive, but it’s a neutral colorway that could easily be worn by either a man or a woman. Because of that neutrality, it’s a shoe that many men will consider sizing up for.

The differences between the Air Jordan 3 Fireside and the Not Nice are noticeable. I wouldn’t necessarily call them slight, but both shoes are still in the same color family.

The box includes an extra set of pink laces, a detail that has drawn Travis Scott comparisons, though Jordan Brand hasn’t announced any Travis Scott involvement.
The edge here is that men will be able to get the Not Nice in traditional men’s sizes, so availability should be a little better. If they’re interested in the Fireside, they’re going to have to size up.

The Not Nice follows Saturday, Nov. 21, for $215, with “checked it twice” scripted across its midsole to fit its naughty-list holiday theme.
Unless you’re completely taken by the Fireside and favor it a lot more than the Not Nice, the choice comes down to availability.
If you’re a guy choosing between the two and want the option that’s more readily available in your size, you go with the Not Nice.
