BMW tries steady restructuring before crisis measures

Like its German counterparts, BMW knows it needs to change, but it’s choosing to evolve more calmly than many others facing the same issues. By Ian Henry

The BMW Group is on target to make around 2.4 million vehicles in 2026, according to Automotive World’s latest brand production forecast. Output is expected to return to 2.6 million units by the end of the decade, having previously been close to 2.7 million in 2023.
