EPMB, Hebei Shichang enter joint endeavor for production of Proton Legend, AMA 02, AMA 05 fuel containers in Batang Kali

EP Production (EPMB) has become part of a joint endeavor with Hebei Shichang Vehicle Parts to develop EP Shichang Automotive Equipments, which is 51 % had by EPMB and 49 % owned by Hebei Shichang for the production of fuel storage tanks for Proton AMA models.

According to EPMB employees, fuel storage tanks made by the new joint endeavor will be for the AMA 01 (Proton Legend MC 3 , as well as for the AMA 02 (Saga Cross) and the AMA 05 Tooling for the new production run of storage tanks will certainly come from Hebei in China.

The initial stage of the joint endeavor will establish a plastic gas container production center at its manufacturing center in Batang Kali, Selangor, with an annual production capacity of 200, 000 gas containers. After the facility is finished, it will provide fuel storage tanks to Proton’s Tanjung Malim plant from March 2027
