Retro cars work – even if the originals aren’t very well known

We’ve seen plenty of signs that the European car industry is prepared to draw on its heritage as it tries to combat new Chinese entrants.

But if the new Citroën 2CV, Peugeot e-T16, Alpine A310 and Renault Espace are anything to go by, we could be in for a deluge of historically inspired models.
