Safari Condo’s Largest Camper, the 2027 Alto F2414, It’s 24 Feet of Camper and Just Under 3,000 Lbs

Some travel trailers redefine a class, and today, that’s precisely what we’ll be exploring. It’s the one and only Alto F2414, the largest in Safari Condo’s lineup, a camper from which North Americans can expect a different kind of experience, if they choose to own it.

Most of what the market has to offer looks and feels pretty similar, even across entire classes, so when I explored the F2414 from Safari Condo, a Canadian crew on which we’ve shed light before, I just had to bring it to light.

I mean, it’s not every day that we find a camper that offers 24 feet of space and weighs under 3,000 lbs. dry, 2,944 (1,335 kg) , to be precise, marking as one of the lightest and most spacious out there, space that Safari put to damn good use. Heck, even some SUVs can tow this one.

Part of how this is made possible has to do with the materials that Safari has chosen to use to built their Alto class. Two sheets of aluminum sandwich with a foam core in the middle make up the shell, and this structure is used from tip to tail on the unit. The roof is not a single piece but still handles a ton of upgrades and features on top since the whole body is supported by an aluminum frame.

While the 2027 F2414 weighs under 3K lbs dry, it does have the ability to handle a total load of 4,500 lbs (2,041 kg), granting us access to a whopping 1,500 lbs of cargo, more than you’ll need out there. But do keep in mind that upgrades and changes you make to your unit will occupy some of this space.

And that’s really where we get to see some Safari Condo magic. One trait of the brand and lineup is that Safari encourages owners to chit-chat with their dealers to select the features they want inside. This holds true for everything from the color of their cushions to the presence of an AC, heater, and even off-grid setup.

The latter can also be heavily expanded, with the ability to accommodate as much as 520 Ah of lithium power and as much as 530 W of solar on the roof. A 3,000 W inverter is in place as standard.

Then there’s the interior of this bad boy, a space which reminds me of classic or vintage campers in terms of layout, but with a bunch of modern touches. For instance, at each end of the unit lies a lounge, both of which can be converted into bedding spaces, so the choice is yours as to where you sleep and how many folks you bring along.

The largest, however, and the one that Safari designates as the main bedroom is located at the rear and composed of two opposing benches and no table in the middle. A little tabletop can be found right next to the lounge and hiding underneath the end of the kitchen counter.

As for the lounge at the front, while it appears to be as simple as possible, Safari does mention that the table from here can be moved outside and attached to the side of the camper, to be used as an outdoor top which can be used for working, dining, and more, all underneath an awning.

Each of the lounges inside also include ample storage space underneath the seating, and according to the host of the video below, plumbing and electrical lines can easily be accessed and tended to if needed. These bins can be accessed from the inside and outside.

One little trait about the rear lounge that I want to bring to light is the little mobile pillow that we see. This feature is to be used to help you find comfortable positions on the lounge, but my adult mind can also think of so many more uses for this thing, wink-wink.

The lounges aren’t the only unique space in the F2414 either. Both the kitchen and galley are on a whole new level. Starting with the kitchen, I want to point out the massive countertop that runs from the door of the camper all the way to the bedroom. It’s even bigger than what we find in some motorhomes, and the cabinetry and storage underneath are just as massive.

The host from Princess Craft might even fit inside one of these drawers if she curled up into a ball. Clearly, they’re not meant for that sort of weight, but you get the idea here. Some are designated as storage for clothing and the like. More storage up above is in place too.

This brings us to the bathroom, a space which is unique in its own right too. Come to find out, this RV is equipped with two separate cubicles. One is for the toilet and vanity, while the second is for the shower. That way, the toilet stays dry at all times but also comes in handy in case one person wants to shower while another go about their morning duties.

Safari Condo also equips this unit with solid heating and hot water, provided by Truma, and coupled with the shell construction, Safari condo mentions that we can tackle weather that falls below zero, as long as we winterize, that is. In all, 26 gallons of freshwater are at our disposal.

Once we consider features and options like two bike racks, outside shower, anti-sway kits, electric jacks, and countless others, it’s not hard to see that the 2027 Alto F2414 is indeed something else and breaks the mold.

The question is: How much does one of these puppies cost? According to sources, a base model is set to go for CAD70,149, or around $50,100 but dealers rarely sell a basic model, so do expect to drop a bit more. For example, Princess Craft showcases a price tag of as much as $89K. But, that number is crossed out, so we can look forward to paying less than that. Shop around.
