Waymo keeps rolling out robotaxi service in more and more places. With Tesla right on its back, the initial self-driving car company might be pushing even harder in order to keep growing and spreading quickly. Either way, the news today is that Waymo is growing again. Here are more details from the company itself:

“Waymo is getting you to even more places. Over the next week, we’re scaling in five cities and adding nearly 250 square miles of territory across Los Angeles, Nashville, Orlando, San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area.

“Want to hail a ride? Here are all the new places we’ll take you to:

  • In LA we’re extending down the coast to the South Bay, adding Torrance.
  • People in Nashville can travel further south, like to the zoo.
  • Over in Orlando, we’re nearly doubling our coverage area in the east, including enhanced service downtown.
  • In San Diego, we’re headed north to La Jolla.
  • For the San Francisco Bay Area, we’re getting you to more areas in the south, including a new BART connection at Berryessa Station.

“Check out where you can explore in the Waymo app or our updated service area maps.”

Sounds like significant progress from Waymo. Where to next?
