There are great DVD commentaries, and then there’s Ben Affleck’s commentary for “Armageddon,” arguably one of the greatest of all time, not for its illuminating insights into the filmmaking process, but for its sardonic, biting hilarity. The actor spends a good portion of the track gently (and sometimes not so gently) roasting Michael Bay’s 1998 blockbuster, questioning its preposterous logic and generally sounding like a guy who can’t quite believe he’s been invited to explain a movie that makes absolutely no sense.
