Allium Restores 18 Chain Data Feeds

Allium has restored data delivery across 18 major blockchain networks on Snowflake and Databricks following a security incident, according to an update published on October 28. The company reports that raw and enriched tables for these chains, including Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Base, Arbitrum, and Arc, have passed completeness and freshness checks on those platforms.

The restoration follows the identification of unauthorized access to certain Allium systems on October 25. The company disclosed the incident on October 28, stating that it restricted access, notified affected customers directly, and engaged an independent cybersecurity firm to investigate. Core Explorer and API services were marked as restored at 10:59 a.m. EDT on October 28.

Platform-Specific Recovery Status

While delivery is operating normally for all chains on Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery, historical backfills remain in progress across parts of the service. These backfills are intended to fill records from the affected period. On Snowflake and Databricks, the 18 named chains have passed validation, but additional checks continue for other networks. Hyperliquid remains in progress for validation, and backfills of the affected window continue for other chains.

BigQuery presents a distinct recovery timeline. Backfills continue for all chains on this platform, and Allium notes that BigQuery’s historical recovery is a separate task from the checks completed on Snowflake and Databricks. Even where the same chains have passed checks on the other two platforms, users should verify historical coverage on BigQuery before relying on records spanning the disruption.

Credential and Access Restrictions

Allium’s published recovery instructions mandate credential changes for users. Existing API keys are being revoked, and users are instructed to create replacement keys unless their Allium contact is issuing one. The company also requires users to set a new password and recommends enabling multi-factor authentication.

Feature restrictions remain in place. Allium has temporarily disabled new uploads and access to previously uploaded data. Consequently, queries that depend on uploaded tables are prevented. The company explains that verified_until timestamps may appear stale due to automated re-verification being restored. Allium states this timestamp lag does not indicate missing data, advising users to distinguish it from the ongoing historical backfills.
