Webull joins the growing list of retail brokers offering extended-hours trading for eligible U.S. customers. The new trading hours and available instruments are similar to those introduced by CBOE and NYSE on 19 October.
Users of the online investment platform can select single-stock and exchange-traded fund (ETF) options outside regular trading hours. The move comes amid growing demand for extended trading sessions in the options markets.
Earlier this week, Fidelity, Interactive Brokers, Robinhood, and others confirmed support for the new trading hours.
Nearly Two Hours Before the Opening Bell
According to Webull’s announcement, the sessions for the selected instruments will run from 7:30 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday to Friday.
This gives traders an additional 1 hour and 55 minutes of pre-market time in the morning and 15 minutes after hours to enter or close positions in response to market-moving news.
At the initial rollout, extended hours will be available for select single-stock options, including Apple (AAPL), Amazon (AMZN), NVIDIA (NVDA), Tesla (TSLA), and ETFs tied to SPY, QQQ, IWM, GLD and XLF, among others.
The list includes 24 stock options and five ETFs covering 53% of the average daily US-listed options volume in the first nine months of 2026. according to CBOE.
NYSE American launched similar sessions. Webull did not disclose which exchange platforms would execute the orders outside trading hours.
According to Anthony Denier, Webull’s Group President and U.S. CEO, investors need tools to react to news released outside traditional trading hours.
“Expanding options trading into pre- and post-market sessions is a natural progression in the evolution of our platform, giving traders greater flexibility to manage positions and respond to new information as it emerges,” he said.
Extended Hours Remain Limited
Despite the expansion, Webull is not introducing round-the-clock options trading. The additional access covers 29 underlying stocks and ETFs, while orders during the extended sessions must be placed as limit orders.
Webull supports single-leg and multi-leg strategies during these hours, but excludes orders tied to simultaneous stock transactions. For options that already trade until 4:15 p.m., the practical addition is the pre-market session rather than a longer closing window.
The broker plans to add selected index options and extend the service to additional markets, although it has not provided a rollout timetable.
