Welcome back to October’s penultimate daily fix of all the new games launching on Xbox.
Today’s lot is a good one. Most of the games releasing today are in some way a little bit spooky to celebrate Halloween this year. Asylum hopes to make your hair stand on end in its horrid mental institute setting, whilst Bob and the Chest of Nightmares draws from the golden era of classic platformers like MediEvil.
Sadly, yesterday’s Xbox Game Pass releases were likely the last we’ll see added in October.
So, here’s what launching on Xbox today (October 30):
Asylum (Series X|S, PC, Cloud)
ASYLUM is an ambitious first-person horror adventure casting you into the hallucinatory setting of the Hanwell Mental Institute.
Queen’s Domain is a retro-fantasy action RPG. Washed up on the shores of the Isle of Neasied, you set out to find your father and uncover the dark heart of this mysterious isle.
Inspired by 1999 golden-era classics like Spyro the Dragon, MediEvil, and Crash Bandicoot, this solo-developed passion project brings back the tight movement and low-poly gothic charm you thought was lost forever.
Become smart and steady Sally, energetic wild card Johnny, cause double the trouble as Thing 1 & Thing 2 or be cheerful Little Cat A. And of course, the chaos conductor, The Cat in the Hat and anxiously wise Fish will be there to help, on this zany ride.
