The western design feels proper old-school, doesn’t it? It’s beautiful. It shows the game’s protagonists, Walter Ryan and Tyra Elson, leaping over some stepping stones as they head into battle. It’s just such a lovely composition with so much to look at and appreciate. Not one bit of the space is wasted.
Japan
Japan’s box art is arguably a little more dynamic in its approach, and it certainly makes great use of the landscape space. The change in art style might not be to everybody’s taste, mind, and there’s a distinct lack of detail and personality compared to the western design. Who knows though, maybe we’re completely wrong on this!
