Following the recent release of The Witcher 3 Remastered, CD Projekt Red has now announced a new free update is on the way to Cyberpunk 2077.

Edgerunners 2 Update (2.5) will be arriving this week on 22nd October 2026, and more details will be revealed later today on a special “Redstreams” broadcast. The update celebrates season 2 of the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which launched on Netflix yesterday.

According to reports, Update 2.5 will include the ability to dual-wield pistols, a new Edgerunners side quest, a new radio station, a field of view slider on consoles, and much more. Mod.io support is also supposedly on the way, but won’t be available on Switch 2. Here’s the rundown (via Push Square):

  • Adds a new side quest called ‘Clampdown’, which is specifically set before Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2
  • Adds a new side quest called ‘Welcome to Paradise’. It takes V on a mysterious tour of Night City
  • Adds a new perk to the Cool skill tree called ‘Double Trouble’, which lets you dual wield power pistols or revolvers. Several secondary perks branch out from it
  • Adds a new radio station that exclusively features tracks from the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime (both Season 1 and 2)
  • Adds five new ‘Glamdocs’ to Night City, where you can customise the look of your arm and hand cyberware. The docs themselves are brand new characters with fresh voice lines and animations
  • Adds five new clothing sets which are sold through different districts
  • Adds a range of new NPC hairstyles which V can now be customised with. Some are limited based on your choice of male or female body type
  • Adds even more photo mode options, including frames from the Cyberpunk trading card game, so you can make your shots look like card art
  • Adds mod support for consoles using mod.io, just like in The Witcher 3 Remastered. Using mods will disable Trophies on that save file
  • Adds an FOV (field of view) slider on consoles, allowing players to adjust the first-person camera
  • Adds save file folders, based on playthrough
  • Adds item filters to V’s stash storage
  • Various bug fixes
