HOTU’s Major chances soar after Tesla Cup win

HOTU have claimed the RLG Tesla Cup trophy after a 2-0 win over GamerLegion (Dust2 13-6, Nuke 13-9).

The win serves as a massive boon for HOTU‘s Major chances, as they now stand at 73.3% as per HLTV’s invite predictor. The Russian squad is now set to travel to Moscow for GLuck Moscow Cyber Games 2026, which will be their final tournament before the invite cutoff.

HOTU‘s Tesla Cup campaign was flawless, as they qualified for the grand final with three 2-0 wins over Luminosity, B8 and GamerLegion.

The latter was their opponent in the grand final as well, with HOTU once again barely breaking a sweat in a one-sided 2-0 victory.

Dmitry “mizu” Kondratev dominated on the Dust2 opener and racked up 24 kills, 140 ADR and a 2.40 rating for his troubles, before David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan took over on Nuke to finish the map with a 1.69 rating.

Outside of HOTU, who massively increased their chances of making Singapore, the event also had a big impact on several other squads’ chances of qualifying.

FaZe clinched qualification with a third-place finish, while B8 missed a golden opportunity in the game against Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken‘s troops and now sit at 12.0%.

Envy and Luminosity also came into the event with a slim chance of making it, but both squads are out of the race after respective early exits.

Just after the event’s last match. Placements may change as other events conclude.
