FlyQuest’s former coach, erkaSt, led the way for NEXVOID with a 1.52 rating in the final
NEXVOID won the DFRAG Logitech Pro Series title after a late comeback against FlyQuest in the grand final, surprising the ANZ team on home soil after losing to them in the upper bracket.
The Mongolian squad, led by former Grayhound player and FlyQuest coach Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga, maintain their Major hopes alive with this victory, even if still by a long shot, as they add 150 VRS points to their total of 1146 to close in on seventh-place Lynn Vision, who are now separated on the ranking by just five points.

The current fifth-place team in Asia, The MongolZ, have 1202, but despite NEXVOID‘s victory, their chances in our predictions are only at a 16% chance of qualifying, a number which grew from just 4% before the event in Brisbane and could further grow depending on their showing at MaceMedia VOID Autumn Cup taking place in Shanghai, China, on October 20-24.
FlyQuest and NEXVOID came into DFRAG Logitech G Pro Series as the top two teams in the tournament, although the ANZ side were the clear favorites. After making it through the group stage and first round of the playoffs cleanly, both teams met in the upper bracket final, where the Alistair “aliStair” Johnston-led squad won 2-1 with a 13-11 victory in the deciding Inferno.
It looked like FlyQuest were poised to win the LAN in Brisbane with just one half left in the rematch against NEXVOID in the grand final series — each team had won their pick, with NEXVOID taking Ancient 13-7 and FlyQuest securing Dust2 13-6 —, as they held a 9-3 lead going into the CT side of Inferno. But the Mongolian squad rallied, winning 10 of the 12 rounds played in the second half to win the series and secure the title.
erkaSt, who played and coached in Australia for the larger part of a decade, including coaching FlyQuest during the first half of 2025, was instrumental in taking down his former team, leading NEXVOID with a 1.52 rating in the grand final.

NEXVOID and FlyQuest are set to compete at the final DFRAG tournament before the Major cutoff, the DFRAG Invitational in Brisbane, where both will once again participate on October 26-November 1.
