9 new games are coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium this month, but are you actually happy with what’s on offer? That’s what we’re here to find out, as always.
So, starting with Extra, we’ve got what I think is a fairly big deal for the mid-tier subscription: Mafia: The Old Country.
This latest Mafia title didn’t exactly set the world alight in terms of review scores and player reception, but it’s still a solid story-driven experience, especially if you’re looking to play something with a bit of grit. It’s not very old either, having released just over a year ago in August 2025.
Horizon Forbidden West is next up and it’s the heaviest hitter of the bunch in terms of budget. The PlayStation Studios outing ended up being a bit divisive amongst hardcore fans of the platform, but there’s no doubting its quality as an open world adventure.
Meanwhile, new indie shooter Mycopunk seems pretty cool, but in my personal opinion, it’s Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition that really cements this as a strong month for Extra.
Tales of Arise is a fantastic action JRPG, and this version comes with its meaty Beyond the Dawn expansion, which takes place after the main game’s plot. There’s over 100 hours of anime-infused entertainment to be had here.
Onto PS Plus Premium, Dino Crisis 2 simply can’t be ignored, particularly since fans have been begging Capcom for a revival of its once beloved series. It’s a PS1 classic with some serious… bite.
