Supercell’s ryo will release two Pokemon-related songs consecutively in late October 2026. The first one, “Legends,” is already out. The second one, which will be called “1996,” will come out at 6:39pm JST (2:39am PT/5:39am ET/11:39am CET) on October 23, 2026. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]
“Legends” is part of the Pokemon and Hatsune Miku collaboration called Project Voltage High ↑. You can watch the music video on YouTube. The music video features Miku singing and performing with Rillaboom and two Toxtricities. Other Pokemon like Kricketune and Totodile also pop into the studio.
You can watch the full “Legends” track here:
The second video, “1996,” will be available here when it comes out:
Ryo commented that he wrote “Legends” in a rush of emotion and excitement after playing Pokemon Legends Z-A, including up to the Mega Dimension DLC. He said he hoped that children who enjoy listening to it now will feel something when looking back on it later as adults. In contrast to how “Legends” carries a message for children, “1996” is a song he dedicated to adults. Specifically, for adults like himself, who were Pokemon fans like children and are now adults. He had finished the song a while ago, but he thought to release and share this after making “Legends.”
Project Voltage High ↑ is a continuation of the first Project Voltage. That contained eighteen songs based on the eighteen types of Pokemon. Producers who were involved in the project include GigaP, Jin, and cosMo@Bousou-P. The Ryo of Supercell “1996” Hatsune Miku Pokemon song will debut on October 23, 2026.
