Vampir class tier list – Destructoid

Vampir released worldwide on Oct. 28, and the first step of your journey is to pick your class. There are five different classes available, and all of them offer unique playing styles and picks. However, you can pick one per character, which makes it important to get your choice on point.

Complete Vampir class tier list

Vampir offers the following classes at launch.

  • Akasha
  • Grim Reaper
  • Carnage
  • Bloodstained
  • Viper

To separate the available classes, I have used three different tiers.

  • S-tier represents the best possible choices when it comes to the strength and usefulness of a class.
  • A-tier classes will need a bit more finesse when it comes to their builds.
  • B-tier classes require heavy amount of manual play. You’ll also need to invest properly in the build.

S-tier

  • Carnage: The Carnage class is the most overpowered option out of five. Her biggest strength is her range since you can keep your distance from dangerous enemies while dishing out massive amount of damage. Moreover, she can also supply clones to do her bidding (and avoid taking too much damage simultaneously). While there are some great alternatives, none of them have the same prowess as the Carnage. She’s equally effective in both PvP and PvE enemies, all thanks to her kit.

A-tier

  • Bloodstained: While the Bloodstained lacks the finesse you’ll get from classes like Carnage, she offers some other benefits. Being a tank, you can absorb plenty of damage without dying. She’s also the best choice for beginners who might be looking at an easy road to learn the game. If her damage potential were higher, she would easily be in the S-tier.
  • Akasha: If you want a melee class better than Bruiser when it comes to damage, Akasha is a good choice. Unlike Bloodstained, she deals more raw damage from her burst attacks. You can also land rapid strikes on the enemy, but she lacks the health of Bloodstained.
  • Viper: The Viper is perhaps the second-best option when it comes to AOE damage, ranking right behind Carnage. You can utilize his poison attacks to deal a lot of sustained damage to bigger enemies like bosses. However, his kit slightly lacks potential for dealing a large amount of damage upfront, which can be problematic in certain types of battles.

B-tier

  • Grim Reaper: While the Grim Reaper is a strong melee class thanks to her damage potential, she suffers from the complex nature of her kit. You will have to time her abilities well to sustainably scale her damage and kill enemies. This makes her an unsuitable choice for beginners and places her on the B tier.
