Warhorse Studios hit by cyberattack, company systems and data affected

Warhorse Studios has experienced a cyberattack resulting in unauthorised access to both company systems and data.

In a statement, the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 developer said it is “working with cybersecurity experts to secure our systems, investigate the incident, and assess its full impact.”

“As the investigation continues, Warhorse Studios is not conducting interviews or providing additional comments at this time. We will share further information when it becomes available.”

CEO Martin Frývaldský also commented on the situation, describing it as a “serious incident for Warhorse Studios and everyone affected.”

“We are dedicating the resources needed to address this situation and will communicate further information as soon as we responsibly can.”

Last week, Capcom experienced a data breach impacting over 11.7 million online accounts. The publisher confirmed that customer information was accessed by an unauthorised third party.

Earlier this year, Rockstar was affected by a data breach earlier this year, where a “limited amount of non-material information was in connection with a third party data breach.”

The Grand Theft Auto developer also experienced a significant leak in September 2022, when 90 in-development GTA 6 video clips were released.
