The San Francisco 49ers have been one of the most pleasant surprises of the NFL season so far.
While their talent makes their success less surprising, they enter Monday night’s clash with the Washington Commanders as one of just three undefeated teams remaining in the NFL, with a chance to improve to 6-0 with a victory.
At the forefront of the team’s continued success is star running back Christian McCaffrey, who’s in his 10th NFL season and fifth with the 49ers.
McCaffrey Announced Personal News With Wife Olivia
McCaffrey and his wife, Olivia Culpo, married in June 2024 and shared exciting family news in early October.
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Colette, in July 2025. Now, they’ve welcomed another member of the family, as their second child, Roman, was born in September 2026.
They shared the news in a joint Instagram post roughly a week after his birth.
“Roman Augustus McCaffrey,” the couple posted on Instagram. “9/29/26.”
McCaffrey Jokingly Trolls Olivia
This week, McCaffrey spoke to the media about his sleep after welcoming another newborn into the family. He made it clear that his wife shouldn’t hear this, but he’s been “sleeping fantastic.”
“Sleep’s great! My family’s down in L.A. right now while my wife’s recovering,” McCaffrey told NBC Bay Area reporter Anthony Flores asked about his nighttime routine. “Don’t tell her this, I’m sleeping fantastic,” he jokingly added.
McCaffrey revealed that Olivia will be “coming back up soon” to San Francisco but didn’t say whether she would attend Monday’s game against Washington.
