During the October 22 episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney recalled the conversation while visiting stepson Landon Barker’s new home. As he and his roommate discussed throwing parties, she offered some relationship guidance of her own.
What dating advice did Kanye West give Kourtney Kardashian?
First, Kourtney jokingly urged the young men to wait until marriage before having sex. “That’s my advice,” she said. “Don’t waste your energy.”
Then, producers asked whether she and Travis had waited until their wedding. She answered, “No,” before explaining that West’s advice had focused on avoiding casual hookups until she found her future husband.
Looking back, she recalled his words, “I feel like God is calling me to tell you that you should not hook up with any randoms until you are with your husband.” After sharing that memory, she added, “And I didn’t.”
Meanwhile, West’s place in the story comes from his former marriage to her sister, Kim Kardashian. He was Kourtney’s brother-in-law during their marriage from 2014 to 2021, rather than someone outside the family offering advice.

Eventually, Kourtney and Travis started dating in 2021 after years of friendship, then married in 2022. However, her comments do not mean the couple waited until marriage to become intimate, which she directly denied.
