Bo Nix made history in the Denver Broncos’ 30-16 road win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Nix and the offense did more than enough to extend the Broncos’ winning streak to three games. He finished with 15 completions for 229 yards, one passing touchdown, 73 rushing yards and a rushing score.
The third-year quarterback had a 62-yard rushing touchdown and a 52-yard passing TD to running back R.J. Harvey. Those two plays put Nix in the NFL history books.
According to NFL Research, Nix is just one of three quarterbacks in the past 100 years to have a passing touchdown of 50-plus yards and a rushing score of 50-plus yards in the same game.
Nix joins a group that only includes Ace Parker (Brooklyn Dodgers, 1938), Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers, 2012), Justin Fields (Chicago Bears, 2022) and Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens, 2022).

Sunday’s victory marked just the second time this season that Denver scored at least 30 points. We’ll see if Sean Payton’s group can build off this performance over the second half.

Now 5-2, the Broncos will return home to welcome Patrick Mahomes and the AFC West-leading Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday.
Nix is 1-2 against Mahomes for his career. The two clubs met on Monday Night Football in Week 1, with the Chiefs cruising to a 31-10 blowout victory. For what it’s worth, Kansas City hasn’t won in Denver since 2022.
