The Milwaukee Brewers are World Series champions for the first time, and the city gets its party on Friday.
The Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 in Game 5 on Wednesday night at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, to close out the series, MLB.com reported. It’s the first title in franchise history. The team announced a parade and rally for Friday, Oct. 30, in downtown Milwaukee.
When and Where Is the Parade?
The parade starts at 10 a.m. CT on Friday at North 4th Street and West Wisconsin Avenue, according to MLB.com. It heads through downtown along Wisconsin Avenue and ends at Henry Maier Festival Park on the lakefront.
The team hasn’t posted a full street-by-street route yet. Fans should expect road closures and traffic around downtown Friday morning.
The Rally at Maier Festival Park
The festival grounds open to the public at 8 a.m., and general admission is free until the park hits capacity, FOX6 reported.
Fans will be able to watch the parade on big screens around the grounds, with live music and food and drinks on site. The first 50,000 fans get a limited-edition championship rally towel from Associated Bank. Parade and rally merchandise will only be sold at the park.
The speeches happen inside the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, and seats there need a ticket. Season seat members got a presale at 10 a.m. Thursday, and sales to the public open at 2 p.m., CBS58 reported. Money from those tickets goes to the Brewers Community Foundation. Anyone without a seat can watch the speeches on the video boards.
How to Watch
FOX6 is the official broadcast partner for the parade and has exclusive access along the route.
A Nod to Bob Uecker
The rally will also include a showing of “Ueck,” a documentary about Bob Uecker, MLB.com said. The longtime voice of the Brewers died in January 2025.
He was still part of this run. Clubhouse manager Tony Migliaccio carries a challenge coin from Uecker’s widow, Judy, with Uecker’s face on one side and his sign-off on the other.
“I like to think he’s with us,” Migliaccio told MLB.com.
How the Brewers Got Here
Milwaukee won 103 games in the regular season and went 11-2 in the playoffs. Catcher William Contreras was named World Series MVP, and his brother Willson was there to see it. Rookie Jacob Misiorowski also came up big on the mound.
The Brewers’ only other trip to the World Series was in 1982, when they lost Game 7. The last time a Milwaukee team won the World Series was 1957, with the Braves.
“I think any time you win a World Series, it changes a place a little bit,” Christian Yelich said after the game.
Manager Pat Murphy put it this way: “We came in with a spirit about us, and we weren’t going to be denied.”
