Why We Love This Deal
Black Friday is still weeks away, but Amazon is already rolling out surprising bargains on power tools. Right now, you can shop deep discounts on name-brand tool kits, circular saws, batteries, and more. The retailer even threw out a major markdown on the bestselling DeWalt starter kit that gets you a drill and impact driver, batteries, and a charger. Whether you need to upgrade your own tool arsenal or you’re looking for a gift for a DIYer, this is a must-shop price.
Amazon is selling DeWalt’s 20V Max Drill and Impact Driver Kit for $129—that’s a 46% markdown and a 90-day-low price. It’s hard to overstate the popularity of this kit, and the numbers are astounding: Amazon sold 20,000 in the last month alone, and it has racked up over 61,000 five-star reviews from shoppers. More importantly, Amazon has the best price for this kit. It beats the prices at hardware retailers like Acme, Tractor Supply Co., and Home Depot.

What Shoppers Should Know
- Tool Series: DeWalt 20V Max
- Includes: Drill, impact driver, 2 1.5Ah batteries, charger, carry case
- Drill Model: DCD771
- Impact Driver Model: DCF885
This set gives you two essential DeWalt tools with several key accessories, making it a great choice for beginner DIYers or experienced hobbyists looking to upgrade from older tools. The stars of the show are the drill, model DCD771, and the impact driver, model DCF885. The drill is one of DeWalt’s entry-level models, so it features a brushed motor, which can’t match the power and efficiency of a modern brushless design. Even so, it’s a highly capable tool with two speed modes and up to 300 watts of power output. It’ll work just fine for everyday fastening jobs.
The impact driver also features an old-school brushed motor, but it can spin up to 2800 rpm and offers more power for tougher tasks, like driving long screws into wood. In addition, its compact size and built-in LEDs make it really convenient to work with.
The only thing I’d change about this kit? The included 1.5Ah batteries have a very low capacity. They’ll work fine for quick projects (like hanging wall art), but you’ll definitely want to upgrade to higher-capacity power cells if you’re planning on tackling bigger jobs, like installing decking or carpentry projects. Luckily, Amazon has a great deal on a set of 6Ah batteries that’ll provide a major power and runtime upgrade.

Getting a drill, driver, batteries, charger, and bag for under $200 makes it an “absolute steal.”
