Dodgers Outfielder Calls out MLB Over Polarizing Sydney Sweeney Ad

The Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves in a 0-2 hole to the MLB-regular season best Milwaukee Brewers after dropping Game 1 in a tight 2-1 contest and losing a 4-3 lead in Game 2 en route to a 7-4 loss.

To make matters worse, superstar slugger and ace pitcher Shohei Ohtani has just one hit in seven at-bats with three strikeouts, but he’s not just slumping in the NLCS. The four-time Most Valuable Player has just three hits in his last 20 at-bats this postseason with seven strikeouts.

While the Dodgers struggle to win games on the field, one of the team’s players is busy calling out Major League Baseball over its ads during the NLCS.

Outfielder Alex Call Unhappy With Commercials

Dodgers outfielder Alex Call quote-tweeted a message complaining about the commercials airing during the MLB’s postseason. One of the commercials aired is a sports betting commercial starring Sydney Sweeney, who is naked, but covered by various sports balls like footballs.

Call suggested it’s time to do away with the “soft porn” ads playing on broadcasts.

“Can we please get the soft porn ads off playoff broadcasts, TBS, Fox, NBC, @MLB? My son wants to watch baseball with Dada, but how do I justify that when a half-naked women could come on screen anytime?? This is America’s Pastime. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about this,” he said in his message on social media.

Sweeney, meanwhile, doubled down with a new rendition of the commercial she posted to social media just a few days ago. In the new commercial, Sweeney is naked save for a pair of white Novig underwear.

“There are grown men making spreadsheets to bet on what color underwear I’m wearing,” Sweeney says in the new ad. “I mean, I’m flattered?”

Sweeney has not responded to the call out from the Dodgers outfielder, who was not selected to the team’s playoff roster.
