If you love woman-on-top sex positions—think: reverse cowgirl, Amazon, lotus, and face sitting—then you’ll love this lesser-known position, which we affectionately call “the handful.” It gives you—you guessed it—a handful, as you have easy access to her breasts, and it gives her plenty of space to touch her clitoris or use a toy on herself. Here’s how to do it, and why you should try it with your partner ASAP.
How to Do the Handful Sex Position

Katie Buckleitner
The penetrating partner sits cross-legged on the bed, and the receiving partner sits down on their lap, facing away from them, taking their penis or strap-on inside them. The penetrating partner lies back, flat on the bed, extending their legs out straight, and the receiving partner lies back too, resting their back on their partner’s chest and bending their knees to plant a foot on the bed on either side of their partner. Depending on your height difference, the receiving partner can keep their head on the penetrating partner’s chest or tilt it off to the side, so cheeks are touching. From there, the receiving partner can move their hips up and down or swirl them, touching their clitoris with their hand or a vibrator. The penetrating partner can hold their partner’s breasts, play with the nipples, and kiss their neck and ears. The penetrating partner can also take control of thrusting by bending their knees and planting their feet on the bed, keeping their legs to the inside of the receiver’s legs.
Why You Should Try the Handful Sex Position
This is a great sex position for women because it allows for stimulation outside of just penetration, which will make it easier for her to orgasm (and just makes sex hotter in general). With “the handful,” you can easily massage your partner’s breasts and kiss erogenous zones around her face and neck. You’ll get a great view of her breasts, feel her butt grinding against your hips, and the new angle of penetration will feel exciting and novel. Your partner can also rub her clitoris or use a vibrator to encourage a blended orgasm, or one that comes from both internal and external stimulation.
