James Bond Hopeful Josh O’Connor Has a Famous Actress Partner — Inside ‘The Crown’ Star’s Personal Life

Earlier this week, Josh O’Connor was revealed as a surprise frontrunner to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond. O’Connor, who won an Emmy for his role as the then-Prince Charles in the Netflix series The Crown, was named alongside Callum Turner and Jack Lowden as the three actors reportedly taking part in screen tests for 007 for Amazon MGM.

Lowden and Turner have received significant press attention for their famous respective partners — four-time Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan and pop superstar Dua Lipa — but O’Connor also has a famous partner, whom film fans will recognize from some high-profile projects.

Josh O’Connor has been in a relationship with Irish actress Alison Oliver since at least 2025. The couple confirmed months of speculation after they were photographed kissing in the street in London last May, where they both live.

Oliver, 29, came to international prominence in 2023 after appearing in Emerald Fennell’s cultural sensation, Saltburn. The actress played Venetia Catton, the daughter of the fabulously wealthy Lady Elspeth Catton (Rosamund Pike) and Sir James Catton (Richard E. Grant), and the sister of charismatic Oxford student Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi). The same year, the rising star appeared on Variety’s “10 actors to watch” list.

Oliver, who hails from the Irish city of Cork, later worked with Fennell on her next film, Wuthering Heights, which co-starred Elordi, Margot Robbie, Hong Chau, and Owen Cooper. On television, Alison appeared in the HBO series Task, as well as the BBC/Hulu series Conversations with Friends, an adaptation of the Sally Rooney novel of the same name.
