John Cena returns to WWE Raw tonight, November 2, but fans need to tune in earlier than usual. The Netflix broadcast starts at 6 p.m. ET and 3 p.m. PT, two hours before its regular slot.
Meanwhile, Barclays Center in Brooklyn will host the show and a SmackDown taping on the same evening. That second program will air Friday, November 6, ahead of Crown Jewel in Riyadh the following day.
However, WWE promises an announcement. Its subject remains unconfirmed.
John Cena’s Raw return is not an announced wrestling comeback
After retiring from in-ring competition in December 2025, Cena is returning to Raw for the first time, Netflix confirms. Still, a television appearance and a return to active wrestling are two different things.
In its official preview, WWE states, “John Cena is returning to Monday Night Raw in Brooklyn, N.Y., for a special announcement.”
The company has not named an opponent for him or listed him in a match.
Although reports point to the John Cena Classic as a possible topic, WWE’s preview does not confirm that connection. Fans should therefore treat tournament details as speculation until Cena or the company shares them.
WWE’s Brooklyn double bill explains the earlier Netflix start
Behind the schedule change, WWE is fitting two television productions into one arena visit. Raw will stream live, while the crew records SmackDown afterward for its Friday broadcast.
Because the company heads overseas for Crown Jewel, the arrangement gets that episode ready before the event. Importantly, the early Monday start does not mean SmackDown will also stream live that night.
Elsewhere on Raw, Roman Reigns will address his champion-versus-champion meeting with Sami Zayn. Netflix also lists Solo Sikoa against Royce Keys among the advertised attractions.
Ultimately, viewers following Cena’s announcement should check their Netflix listing before settling in. Waiting for the evening slot could mean missing the opening portion.
