Kristen Bell’s Hit Rom-Com Debuts at No. 2 on Netflix’s Global Weekly English-Language TV Chart

Kristen Bell’s Nobody Wants This has returned near the top of Netflix’s global weekly English-language TV chart. Season 3 debuted at No. 2 with 6.2 million views during the October 19–25 tracking week.

According to Netflix, that marked the biggest opening week for a returning comedy series in 2026. Only Below finished higher on the English-language TV list, drawing 7.7 million views.

However, the romance opened below its earlier seasons, Variety reported. Season 1 launched with 10.3 million views in 2024, while Season 2 started with 8.6 million in 2025.

Erin Foster brought her own love story to Nobody Wants This

Behind the laughs, creator Erin Foster drew from her relationship for the series. Bell plays podcaster Joanne opposite Adam Brody’s Noah, a rabbi whose world differs from hers.

This season, Foster used her engagement as a starting point for the couple’s proposal. She also appears in Episode 4, playing Nicole, a messy fan of Joanne’s podcast.

Still, Foster wanted romantic milestones to feel fresh rather than predictable. She told Netflix that the couple needed to move forward together, with romantic moments that felt real and surprising.

Separately, Netflix recorded 29.4 million hours viewed for the season. Its views measure divides total viewing hours by runtime, rather than counting people who watched the show.

Kristen Bell’s cast includes a real-life best friend

Meanwhile, Bell shares the screen with someone she knows well beyond work.

Foster told Netflix, “And in real life, Kristen and Jackie are best friends.”

Jackie Tohn plays Esther, Noah’s sister-in-law, adding another personal link behind the fictional family. Alongside them, Justine Lupe and Timothy Simons return as Morgan and Sasha.

Beyond the debut, Netflix says the show’s three seasons have collected more than 120 million views since 2024. Together, they have logged 11 weeks in the Top 10, showing that viewers keep returning for more relationship trouble.
